Econo Lodge review in Decatur, Alabama: OVERT RACISM FOR AN ENTIRE GROUP
This is unbelievable and totally unacceptable. I will not stay at an EcnoLodge ever again if this kind of behavior is tolerated anywhere in their system. How could such a thing occur in 2015? Has everyone here had their heads in the sand for the past 50 years? There is no acceptable excuse for such behavior. I expect the Choice corporate office to take stern and immediate corrective action, including closing this hotel down if that is what it takes to assure that such behavior never occurs again. Econo Lodge was a DISGUSTING place
I went Daneville Alabama for my daughters aviation graduation at Fort Ruckers. I reserved a room at 444 Deville ave Deanville Alabama. Upon walking into the office shoes there was a baby running around the office very dirty with no socks. Apparently the clerk was babysitting. Then a man in filthy clothes and no shoes in his and disgusting socks came in. The clerk told me the # to my room out loud in front of this man. which made me very uncomfortable. Then as I was trying to find my room, I came across 3 men hanging out outside their room with their door open drinking. As I walked up a little they stopped and stared at me. I was so scared I ran downstairs and told the clerk I couldn't stay up there I was afraid. So he gave me a room on the 1st floor. When I opened the door to the room I was immediately hit with this horrible smell. it smelled like dirty mop water, mold and mildew. The walls were dirty and the bathtub was filthy!!!! I was afraid to touch anything, I wouldn't even touch the bed because I just knew there were bedbugs the lock on the door was also broken, I immediately called a cab to take me somewhere where there a lot of people around. I called my daughter and begged her to try n get me a room on base. I was to afraid to go back and have to stay there. Thank God she able to get me a room last minute. I went straight back to the hotel and then to the office to inform them I was leaving. they told be even though I was not in the room I walked in there so they were charging me for the night. I was in such a rush to get out of there I didn't even argue. That was the very worst experience I have EVER had in regards to motel stays.. I advise everyone to really do your research on this Econo Lodge before booking the room. Photos are VERY deceiving!!!!!!

Per the comment this is the nicest hotel. If this is the nicest hotel this person has stayed at, they need to get out more.
Probably a company employee. I will ever stat t a Econo Lodge either.
Poor service and dirty rooms...
