Econo Lodge review in Pueblo, Colorado: Dissatistied customer
I made reservations in order to visit my son who was in critical care I booked them around the 7th of March 2019 for April 3, 2019 thru the April 6th since this time my son passed away. I called today which is March 29, 2019 to cancelled and was told that I would lose my money which is the sum of 155 dollars I explained serval times that my son has passed no exceptions for the situation I feel that this was extremely insensitive to my situation. So I am out the 155 with the additional money going towards my son funeral I do understand that it is policy but you would think in this worst time of a personal life would be at least considered

Econo Lodge review: THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD.
Warning to guests of Choice Hotels Econolodge in Manchester, Vermont. This hotel is not to be trusted. I stayed at this hotel from 1/23 to 1/27 in January 2019 and the hotel charged my credit card for the entire stay two times in the same exact amounts on two separate days. They refuse to credit my charge card for the 2nd duplicate charge. Be forewarned that this was clearly not by accident and now requires wasted time and energy submitting claims to my credit card company, Vermont Attorney General, Vermont Better Business Bureau, and Vermont Small Claims Court. THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD.

When you pay with a credit card the issuer, say Visa charges the motel a percentage of the charged amount as a fee to Visa---anywhere from 3 to 5 percent or so. Thus, the surcharge to you for not paying cash. When in a small town in the middle of the UP you should always pay in cash, thus avoiding any surcharge.

Econo Lodge review in Burbank, California: Update to previous review
I reported credit card fraud. Being double-charged. For 7 months they have given me, my bank, and the parent company Choice Hotels the run-around that they were going to release the double charge funds back to my bank. Each time they never come. I believe it's a delay tactic. An investigator from the State of Utah consumer affairs is investigating and going to force them to pay.
