It seemed we bothered the clerk when we checked into the Econo Lodge. Our confirmed reservation # was useless.
It was asked if we were from Bangkok, Thailand. We do not look Asian, we speak English well, and we are from Tennessee. We finally got checked into our 2nd floor room. It was a relief that there were no signs of bedbugs.
However, the commode had mildew or some black ring, the bathroom door would not close and the just renovated should have been "under renovation". We did get fresh towels for our second night but no one checked or cleaned the commode. Our whole purpose for staying at the Econo Lodge was as a Walmart employee there was a discount. No one has ever honored that even though there have been multiple calls and requests.
One phone call just leads to another phone number to call and talk to one more person that is no help. Of course, it is our fault for not mentioning it when reservations were made - but we did.
