Econo Lodge Hotel Reservation Review from Annapolis, Maryland

I didn't even get a chance to stay at the econo lodge in Charlotte and will never stay there. I booked through hotel.com and was charged up front instead of at checkout so I called the hotel. The man was extremely rude and argued with me thT I have to go through hotel.com which I can understand but he kept cutting me off and when I asked to speak with the manager he said he was the manager. I to him I would never stay there that's not how you treat a customer and he said that's fine. I will be contacting corporate

Econo Lodge review in Hyattsville, Maryland: Check your Credit Card for extra charges!

I stayed at the Econo Lodge Jersey City in Hoboken, NJ I specifically asked the man at the front desk during check-in if there was anything being charged to my card, and he let me know they just hold $2.50 for phone calls. If we did not use the card nothing would be charged. That would have been his opportunity to tell me about the safe. I notices a $3.22 charge to my cc after I got home, and when I called about it the lady said it was for the safe. I feel this is a scam from the hotel in hopes that most people would not notice or bother to call over a small charge on their credit card. Why would you charge for a safe? She did say she would refund it because we did not use the safe, but it was up to us to tell them during check out we did not use the safe. It was in the paper we initialed (which we did not get a copy of). Shouldn't it be up to the hotel to ask then, if we used the safe? Or let me know when I ask if I am being charged for anything? What a scam, think how much money they have made from customers who have not noticed their statements. This should not be allowed, they should be telling their customers during check out about the charge and printing them a receipt of charges!

Econo Lodge review in Ocean City, Maryland: The absolute worst place to stay.

We arrived at this horrid place at 2 in the morning. After e checked in, we went up into the room to check it out and everything seemed alright until I went to hang my jacket up and the metal poles came out of the wall and the metal pole came crashing down. Also, when we went to go open the couch to take out the pull out bed, it smelled SO TERRIBLE. IT SMELLED LIKE FISH, *** AND OTHER SMELLS THAT NO ONE SHOULD EVER NEED TO SMELL. IT WAS AS IF THEY HAD NOT CLEANED IT FOR YEARS. The next morning when we went to check out, the manager charged the card $50 because he accused us of peeing in the pullout couch and breaking the poles. When I asked him politely for his boss's number, he told me he does not have to give it to me and continuously insulted us saying that we peed in the bed and we were dirty. After telling him that he was being very rude and out of order, he threatened to call the police if I did not leave. I notified him that a letter would be written and that his boss will be contacted. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!
