They're price gouging up and down rates whenever they want to entire Indian family to members even the ones who clean up the rooms with their entire family living in the studio rooms for free lying saying all their rooms are booked they own houses and living in the hotel rooms and I do travel work I've been working in this area for 7 months and they've had several different rates since I've been here I'm thinking about calling ICE it's something illegal going on here. We had a horrible stay and requested numerous times for a refund because of the condition of our room and the hotel. We just got ignored or yelled at and were told there was no way they were refunding our money!
So we felt stuck there! We called the day we left and asked to speak to the manager and asked for a refund and explained why, and he said he would never refund my money, yelling at me and hung up on me and refused to answer when I called back! The staff were obviously a bunch of drug addicts! And someone was in our room while we were gone even with the do not disturb sign on the door, and some of our personal belongings were destroyed!
We also took some pictures of the condition of our room and hotel. In the photos, it shows that it is bug-ridden and bug powder everywhere, and on the rag that was at the head of the bed, there were human *** on it!!
The room smelled awful, as did the whole hotel! We couldn't even swim in the pool because it had a ton of bugs in it!!

Book a room at the Econo Lodge, 1775 Virginia Ave., Martinsville, VA 24112. Coming all the way in from Maryland, I get to room 105, and it looks like a crime scene: blood, hair, and fluid are all over the sheets.
The tub was nasty and dirty; the refrigerator freezer was overpacked with ice. That's just unacceptable, and I want my money returned: $155.83 for the 2 nights, 8/8/2025 to 8/10/2025.

There was cat littler with *** all over the desk drawers. When I called the front desk, they told me that they would switch the room and when I went down there, there was nobody there I had to wait in a stinky room with cat litter and *** and then I had to talk to the cleaning people theyve moved the rooms, but then they tried to charge me for another night and never received a refund the room also smelled of mold. I couldnt stop sneezing while I was there.

The window above air conditioner and the top of the air conditioner was covered in dead bugs and a thick layer of nicotine and dust! The room wreaks of cigarettes, the shower curtain has mold, not washed and faded, all over the bottom, the toilet paper holder was disgusting, one of the bed spreads has stains and what looks like a cigarette burn on it, the tub was very dirty.
I'm just thankful we're just passing through to our vacation destination.
We can't get a hold of anyone and at this point we don't want to. Just ready to leave.

I called the office to let them know I was booking the room for one more night, and the manager cut me off before I finished and told me my daughter and I were not staying another night because of the noise disturbance that the night shift was complaining about. I tried to tell her I had no knowledge of this, but she continued to yell at me.
I'm the one whose name is on the room. She told me that the problem was with my daughter. If so, she should have informed me, and I would've taken care of it. There was no one else in my room at the set hours of the night.
I'm not sure where the disturbance came from. I tried to turn the keys in, but she was rude again by raising her voice. I will never return there again and will let everyone know how my daughter and I were treated.
Do not get a room at this Econo Lodge. They are very unprofessional.

Booked a stay here and when we went the inside just to check in smelled so bad and they had a filthy fish tank that was so green you couldnt even see the fish. We had asked if we could check in early because we had been up all morning since 5 am and just needed to rest not in a car and they got rude and said if we wanted that we would have to pay 100$ cash as a early check in fee.
I have been to a lot of hotels and have never been asked for something like that. So we tried to cancel the booking and they refused to refund us any of our money.

It was the worst experience ever. I paid for a room; the room had no heat.
They didn't change my room, accommodate me with a room, or anything. They gave me a little space heater.
Once that one went out, they gave me another one, and when I woke up the next morning, I was freezing because that space heater had gone out. It was the worst experience ever.

There was blood on the bathroom walls as well as the floor, and a 1 by 18 strip missing, and the TV had a crack in it. We checked out; they owe me a 2-day refund for not staying.
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a location! I expect a full refund for the 2 days I was not there!

Econo Lodge, Scranton PA is the worst rat hole and a half you’ve ever seen.
Front desk lied about breakfast. They didnt happen to have one.
They lied about us being on the first floor. We ended up on the second floor. There was a a bad odor throughout the building.
Walls with mold, spattered paint wallpaper peeling. Toilet, running shower, not working.

Hotel room had mildew and smelled musty; had no AC, and there were bugs throughout the place. Worst stay of my entire life.
Can't believe they would allow people to stay here in those conditions.
I definitely would like a refund for the night we stayed there. This would have been the last stay I booked on August 2nd, 2025, at Econolodge in Crystal River, FL.

Wrongly charged customer service
I was wrongly givens someone else room whom was occupying it then to get another one unload my belongings for work be in thats was the reason I as there then for her to come tell me she checked me into the wrong room under another mans name and charged me 68$ stealing my money and then leaving me with no room to make a 3 hour trip one way for my job whom is a veteran and have to drive all the way home ridiculous and its nothing but a run- down prostitution ring going there worse than the projects in the ghetto.

The staff probably thought you and your party were the drug-addicts. How many times did you have to be told no before it dawned on you that you weren't getting a refund?!
The manager told you NO and you still kept trying to call them back. There is nothing left to say. NO MEANS NO! The story about someone entering your room and breaking your Dollar Tree possessions is just that: a story.
Otherwise, you would have called the police. Sleep in your car next time or stay home.
What did the police say and do when you called them to come to the hotel because your room was entered and some belongings damaged?
They were not called, because this did not happen. Even the OP knows that you cannot go around making false reports. This is just another lie to get a free stay.
